I was employed by Coatsink Software as a Game and Level Designer from March to September 2015 to work on a new project of theirs. The rather aptly, and obviously name ‘Project TK’ was the first commercial title I worked on, and was unveiled to the world as Esper 2 at Oculus Connect 2 in September 2015 and released into the wild via the GearVR store on 10th December 2015.
Esper 2 is a direct sequel to Esper, in which you play as a telekinetic individual being tested by a mysterious government agency known as ESPR to assess whether you are or aren’t a threat. Now, as a full blown agent of ESPR, you are recruited to go on an adventure that takes you to the farthest reaches of the globe and to the darkest recesses of your mind.
Affectionately referred to as ‘Portal meets The Stanley Parable’, Esper combines puzzle type gameplay and mechanics with an array of wonderful settings, colourful characters, witty dialogue and an ambitious story.
